This item include: Resolution 20-23C of Sandy City, adopting the annual budget for Sandy City and the Alta Canyon Recreation District for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2020 and ending June 30, 2021; also establishing certain fees and charges in Sandy City for said fiscal year, and Resolution 20-22C authorizing City pick up of public safety and firefighter employee retirement contributions. Attachments: 20-22C URS City Pick Up 20-23C Final Budget Adoption FY 2020-21 Tentative Budget A motion was made by Kristin Coleman-Nicholl, seconded by Cyndi Sharkey, to adopt Resolution 20-23C of Sandy City, adopting the annual budget for Sandy City and the Alta Canyon Recreation District for the fiscal year commencing July1, 2020 and ending June 30, 2021; also establishing certain fees and charges in Sandy City for said fiscal year... Attachments: RDA Budget FY 21 RD20-01 Sandy City, Utah Page 2 Printed on 7/15/2020 City Council Meeting Minutes June 25, 2020 There was a motion supported unanimously through voice vote to recess the City Council meeting and convene a meeting of the Redevelopment Agency. Official actions of the Redevelopment Agency will be reflected in the RDA minutes. Dustin Fratto provided instruction on how to comment during this public hearing. The resolution RD-20-01 passed unanimously. There was a motion to resume City Council meeting which passed unanimously. Mayor Bradburn offered perspectives on the budget and the budget development process. He indicated he would be vetoing portions of Resolution 20-23C. The Council discussed the legal ramifications and timing of veto consideration amongst itself and with Tracy Cowdell and Bob Thompson. There was a motion to adjourn by Zach Robinson and seconded by Brooke Christensen. The motion failed: Yes: Zach Robinson, Brooke Christensen, Monica Zoltanski No: Alison Stroud, Kris Nicholl, Marci Houseman, Cyndi Sharkey Council comments resumed.
