Prayer, Pledge of Allegiance, and Introductions
Council Chair Aaron Dekeyzer welcomed those in attendnace.
Council Member Aaron Dekeyzer offered the Prayer.
Council Member Cyndi Sharkey led the Pledge.
Council moved to Item 1 on the Agenda.
Legislative Report
No Legislative Report was given.
General Citizen Comment Period (No earlier than 6:00 PM)
Council Chair Dekeyzer invited the public to participate in General Citizen Comment.
Public comment opened.
Ms. Joyce Walker provided the council with a reminder about the annual Earth Day
cleanup of Dimple Dell Regional Park.
Ms. Cathy Spuck commented regarding the Bucha signing ceremony asking if the
community needed anything.
The City Council meeting was recessed at 5:48 PM
The meeting reconvened at 6:00 PM
Mr. Steve Van Maren commented and passed on his condolences to Council Member
Houseman.

1. 25-062 Public Utilities Department recommending that the Council review and
consider appointing J. Daniel Schoenfeld to the Public Utilities Advisory
Board (PUAB) as a regular member

Tom Ward, Public Utilities proposed that Mr. Schoenfeld be appointed to the Public
Utilities Advisory Board (PUAB). Mr. Schoenfeld introduced himself to the Council.

Mr. Ward provided an overview of the proposed amendments to the Public Utilities
Advisory Board (PUAB) Bylaws. Shane Pace provided some additional details about the
frequency of PUAB meetings.

Chief McConaghie introduced the agenda item asking the council if there were any
questions for him.
The public comment period was opened and no comments were provided.
A motion was made by Aaron Dekeyzer, seconded by Ryan Mecham to adopt
Resolution 25-08C, a resolution approving an amendment to the Interlocal
Agreement regarding an interlocal entity known as the Metro Fire Agency...The

4. 25-061 Recess City Council meeting and convene a meeting of the Sandy City
Redevelopment Agency.

The Council made a motion to recess the Council meeting and convene a meeting of the
Redevelopment Agency (RDA) of Sandy City at 5:32 pm.
Following the RDA meeting, Council reconvened the City Council meeting and moved to
Standing Reports at approximately 5:40 pm.
A motion was made by Zach Robinson, seconded by Ryan Mecham, to recess the
City Council meeting at 5:32 pm and convene a meeting of the Sandy City
Redevelopment Agency... The motion carried by the following roll call vote:

Mr. Fratto reminded the Council of the upcoming budget preview workshop on March
18th.

Council Member Mecham provided an update and expressed thanks to the Public Works
staff for Bulk Waste Cleanup.

Mayor's Report
The Mayor's report was given by the CAO.
CAO Report
Mr. Shane Pace, CAO, provided comments on the on the legislative session, and also
spoke about a transportation study for the Cottonwood Canyons. He also invited the
Council to attend the Sister City ceremony scheduled for March 17th. Following the CAO
report, Council moved to General Citizen Comment.
Adjournment
Council unanimously agreed to adjourn the meeting at 6:01 PM.

The General Citizen Comment period is the time set aside for the public to comment on any City business,
including any item listed on tonight's agenda. General Citizen Comment will begin no earlier than 6:00 PM. Citizen
comment will also be taken during each Council Voting Item and each Public Hearing Item for comments related to
those items.
Each speaker is allowed three minutes during each comment period. A speaker may comment during multiple
comment periods, so long as the topic of the comment is different each time. No speaker will be permitted to
comment more than once during any individual comment period.
Speakers wishing to comment live should attend the meeting in person or access the meeting virtually via the Zoom
