1. CALL TO ORDER
This meeting was called to order by Chair Puentes at 3:30PM.
2. ROLL CALL
Present: 7 - Chair Lisa Puentes, Vice Chair Kristin Kiefer, Committee Member
Katharine Anderson, Committee Member Monica Bryant, Committee
Member Melanie Jones-Carter, Committee Member Jeff Nathanson,
and Committee Member Nina Bonos
3. PUBLIC COMMENTS
None
4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Draft Meeting Minutes: January 6, 2020
The minutes from January 6, 2020, were approved as submitted.
5. SCHEDULED ITEMS
5.1 2020-2021 Annual Work Plan
Staff will present a draft Annual Work Plan for the next fiscal year
starting July 1, 2020, including proposed new projects, continuing
projects and ongoing programs.
Recommended Action: Discussion and Approval of 2020-2021 Annual
Work Plan
Committee reviewed and discussed.
A motion was made by Committee Member Anderson, seconded by
Committee Member Bonos, that this Art in Public Places Agenda Item be
approved. The motion carried by an unanimous vote.
5.2 Project Updates
Staff will present updates on current projects.
Recommended Action: Information only.

6. COMMITTEE REPORTS
6.1 Pecha Kucha: Sharing of art photos (max. 20 slides shown for 20 sec.
each)
Bonos: Shared photos of Bonos art installation at Village Bakery,
and images of various art such as sculptural benches in Dublin,
current art the Crocker Art Museum in Sacremento, a mural and
Fuller O'Brien poles at 16th & Q in Sacramento.
6.2 Events attended
Bonos: From Suffrage to #MeToo exhibit at the Museum of Sonoma
County. Exhibit runs from January 25 - September 13, 2020.
6.3 Upcoming events
Bryant: Bryant's work is a part of the 19th Amendment exhibition at
the Santa Rosa Art Center, running from February 7 - March 27,
2020. Going to Morocco with art group in March.
Nathanson: Museum of Sonoma County From Suffrage to #MeToo,
from January 25 - September 13, 2020. Landscape Awe to Activism
exhibit runs from February 19 - July 19, 2020.
7. DEPARTMENT REPORTS
Staff shared that the Downtown Action Organization anticipates
commencing the installation of the fountain in Courthouse Square in
late spring this year.
8. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned by Chair Puentes at 4:28PM. The next
regular meeting of the Art in Public Places Committee is scheduled
for Monday, March 2, 2002, at 3:30PM.
