STAFF BRIEFINGS This time is reserved for City staff to provide a five-minute briefing to the Council on departmental issues of interest. No action will be taken on these matters except to possibly place a particular item on a future agenda for Council consideration. 7.1 CONTRACT FOR SERVICES WITH RINCON VALLEY FIRE DISTRICT Fire Department Staff will provide an overview regarding the request for a contract for fire services between the City of Santa Rosa Fire Department and Rincon Valley Fire Protection District. 8. CONSENT ITEMS 11.1 RESOLUTION - REDUCTION OF THE LOCAL WASTEWATER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FUNDING FOR 2013/14 RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended by the Board of Public Utilities and the Department of Utilities that the Council, by resolution, reduce the 2013/14 appropriation to the Local Wastewater Capital Fund 1626 by $3,000,000 and increase the Local Wastewater Utility Fund 1621 by $3,000,000. Attachments Staff Report Resolution 11.2 RESOLUTION - MULTIPLE MID-BLOCK CROSSWALK INSTALLATIONS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE SONOMA-MARIN AREA RAIL TRANSIT (SMART) MULTIUSE PATH AT JUNCTIONS WITH BELLEVUE AVENUE, HEARN AVENUE, BARHAM AVENUE, SEBASTOPOL ROAD, WEST THIRD STREET, PINER ROAD, SAN MIGUEL ROAD, WEST SIXTH STREET AND WEST SEVENTH STREET. RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended by the Transportation and Public Works Department that the Council, by resolution, authorize the installation of multiple mid-block crosswalks on Bellevue Avenue, Hearn Avenue, Barham Avenue, Sebastopol Road, West Third Street, Piner Road, San Miguel Road, West Sixth Street and West Seventh Street in conjunction with SMART multiuse path. REPORT ITEMS 12.1 REPORT - REVISED AND UPDATED STREET DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS BACKGROUND: The City Street Design and Construction Standards City of Santa Rosa Regular Meeting Agenda and Summary Report Page 5 of 6 CITY COUNCIL JUNE 3, 2014 (City Standards) are being revised and updated to reflect new technologies while incorporating the requirements of newly implemented laws and regulations. City Standards must be kept current with Manufacturers Design Specifications, Contractors Approved List, ADA Requirements, Material Specifications, and Construction Methods. The proposed changes reflect this. RECOMMENDATION: It is recommend by the Transportation and Public Works Department that the Council, by resolution, adopt the revised and updated Street Design and Construction Standards.
