RECOMMENDATION OF THE HEALTH OFFICER OF THE COUNTY OF
SONOMA, CLIMATE ACTION SUBCOMMITTEE MEMBERS WILL BE

the Climate Action Subcommittee meeting.

4.1 GAS STATION PROHIBITION ORDINANCE UPDATE
Planning staff will provide an update on the progress of a draft
ordinance which would prohibit the construction of new gas stations
and address how existing gas stations should be modified. This update
will also highlight topics intended to solicit feedback from the Climate
Action Subcommittee and the public, prior to completing the draft
ordinance.

4.2 CALIFORNIA STATE ASSEMBLY BILL 841: ELECTRIC VEHICLE
INFRASTRUCTURE TRAINING PROGRAM CONTRACTOR
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
The Subcommittee will review recently chaptered requirements that
state-funded electric vehicle charging infrastructure projects utilize
contractors that have achieved certification under the Electric Vehicle
Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP).
AB 841, adopted in September 2020, added Section 740.20 to the
California Public Utilities Code, which requires all electric vehicle
charging infrastructure that is funded in part by the Public Utilities
Commission, the Energy Commission, and/or the State Air Resources
Board, be installed by a contractor with the appropriate license
classification, the EVITP certification.
