The public may comment on agenda items when the item is called. Each speaker is allowed three minutes. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES August 22, 2018 Regular Meeting Minutes. CAB Members may also announce upcoming community events that may be of interest to the CAB. This is also the time when CAB Members may announce departure from the meeting early, or any other announcement that may affect the meeting. 5. STAFF UPDATES 1. SCHEDULED ITEMS 6.1 CAB COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT TOOLS FOR PROMOTIONAL ITEM GIVEAWAYS City of Santa Rosa Special Meeting Notice and Agenda Page 2 of 2 Community Advisory Board SEPTEMBER 20, 2018 The CAB will discuss and decide on which community engagement tool(s) to implement when tabling at community events. These activities will provide the public with the opportunity to engage with CAB Members and receive free promotional items. 6.2 COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT GRANT APPLICATION REVIEW Community Engagement staff will provide the CAB with a draft of the Community Improvement Grant application for review and discussion. The CAB will provide staff with feedback on the draft application. 6.3 STRATEGIC PLANNING RETREAT FOLLOW-UP ITEMS The CAB will review outcomes of the Strategic Planning Retreat and decide which former subcommittees to close and which new subcommittees to move forward with. 7. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS The CAB will choose items for their next monthly Board meeting. Topics may include: A. Strategic Planning (on-going) B. Community Improvement Grant Updates (on-going) C. Get to Know Your District Community Meeting (TBD) D. CAB Orientation and Mentors (TBD) E. Parks Bond (TBD) 8.
