NEW BUSINESS 3.1 PROPOSED PROJECT WORK ORDER AMENDMENT NO. 2 FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES DURING CONSTRUCTION WITH CAROLLO ENGINEERS AND PROPOSED PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND INSPECTION WITH PSOMAS - LTP DISINFECTION IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT Ultraviolet Light (UV) is the primary disinfection process for the Laguna Treatment Plant (LTP). In January 2016, the City initiated design for replacing the existing UV system. The City is nearing completion of the design and preparing steps towards the construction phase of the project. The City needs to amend the existing design project work City of Santa Rosa Special Meeting Notice and Agenda Page 3 of 3 Contract Review Subcommittee OCTOBER 20, 2020 order to provide funds to the design consultant for engineering services during construction. This need was anticipated at the beginning of the project and reported to the Board of Public Utilities (BPU) in August 2019. Additionally, the City needs professional construction management and inspection services for the project. The City released a Request for Proposals and received three (3) proposals. A review board convened, evaluated proposals, and held interviews. The review board selected Psomas of Walnut Creek, CA to provide these services and subsequently worked with Psomas to prepare a Professional Services Agreement in the amount not to exceed $4,471,746, for the BPU’s consideration.
