Approve Warrant: 2014 Mid – 14MWDEC3 $1,451.52 MAYOR’S DEPARTMENT Discussion and Vote: Authorization for the Mayor to Sign the National Endowment for the Arts Grant to Apply for an Arts Master Plan Mayor Yepsen advised the deadline for the grant application is January 15th. Cindy Phillips, Office of Community Development, advised they are in the beginning stages of applying for the grant. They are looking to apply for $50,000 - $75,000. City Council Pre-Agenda Meeting January 5, 2015 Discussion and Vote: Authorization for Mayor to Sign CSEA-DPW Contract Mayor Yepsen advised the contract has been ratified by the Union, tweaks have been made, and the Council has reviewed in executive session at the last Council meeting. Discussion and Vote: Stipulation of Settlement for Administrative Director of Recreation Mayor Yepsen advised this position was included in the City Hall Bargaining Unit. This stipulation will finalize the step and the grade that will be effective January 1, 2015. Appointment: Community Development Citizens Advisory Committee No comments. Mayor Yepsen added the following items to her agenda: Announcement: Saratoga Springs Commission on the Arts; Announcement: Martin Luther King Program; and Discussion: First Night. ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT Appointment: Board of Assessment Review No comments. FINANCE DEPARTMENT Nothing at this time. PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT Discussion: Engineering Update on Current Projects No comments. Commissioner Scirocco added the following items to his agenda: Discussion and Vote: Authorization for the Mayor to Sign Addendum #5 with Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. for the Ballston Avenue Traffic Improvements; and Discussion and Vote: Authorization for the Mayor to Sign Addendum #6 with Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. for a Credit Regarding Ballston Avenue Traffic Improvement Project. PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT Commissioner Mathiesen advised he is adding one item: Discussion and Vote: Addendum to Nixon Peabody Agreement. They have been notified by the Attorney General’s Office that there is an investigation into allegations of misconduct by members of the City Council regarding land transactions with Broadway and Union Avenue.
