Mayor Kim advised this is to move this position to the City Attorney’s Office.
ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT
Commissioner Moran advised he would like to ask for an executive session for the mayor’s item #20. A
conversation has yet to take place about what this would mean. Commissioner Moran stated he is not
sure how a resolution is going to change the aspects of the position residing in the Accounts Department.

He feels the resolution is inappropriate and there is a Civil Service process to go through to transfer a
person. Commissioner Moran stated this type of conversation warrants face-to-face conversation.
Mayor Kim advised the Council should have a discussion but that there is no need to have the discussion
in executive session.
Commissioner Golub stated he would like to understand Civil Service Law in relation to this. He does not
want to find out later that the Council did something they should not have done.
Mayor Kim stated he is sure this is not a Civil Service Commission position; therefore, he is not sure what
role they play in this.
Tony Izzo, city attorney, stated there is a specific list of topics that are allowed for the Council to enter into
executive session to discuss.

Commissioner Moran stated he conducted a survey and have dimensional parameters to add to the
resolution.

Temporary Outdoor Seating Area Permits
Commissioner Moran stated this amendment relates to temporary outdoor seating in private areas.

Commissioner Moran stated this amendment is to create a single point invoice at the time of permit
issuance.

Commissioner Golub advised this is for time extension only until July 31 st.

Announcement: SiFi Project Update
Commissioner Golub advised the public has requested an update. SiFi will come to the second Council
meeting in June to do a presentation.
PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT
Deputy Tetu advised he will be adding three items to the Department of Public Safety agenda:
1. Discussion and Vote: MOA with Saratoga PBA for Lateral transfers. This will make the Police
Department more appealing with a 1 to 1 service equivalent and a 15-year threshold to receive
health benefits.
2. Discussion and Vote: Sign Agreement with Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. for Intelligent
Transportation System
3. Discussion and Vote: Sign Change Orders 1 – 5 with CHA for Fire Station 3.
Deputy Tetu asked Commissioner Moran to add the award of bid to Greenman-Pedersen for the
Intelligent Transportation System to his agenda.
Commissioner Moran agreed to do that.
