CITY OF SARATOGA SPRINGS MUNICIPAL CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING CITY COUNCIL CHAMBER TUESDAY, JANUARY 17, 2013 PRESENT: ELIO DELSETTE, CHAIRPERSON ROBERT MAINS, COMMISSIONER KIMBERLY GALVIN, COMMISSIONER Chairpersons DelSette called the meeting to order at 5:30pm Chairperson DelSette opened the public comment period at 5:30pm. There being no one wishing to speak Chairperson DelSette closed the pubic comment period at 5:31pm ACCOUNTS: Chairperson DelSette stated that he was going to recues himself for this agenda item and left the council room. Commissioner Galvin made a motion to approve the Provisional appointment of Tara Cosgrove to the position of Deputy Registrar of Vital Statistics effective January 22, 2013. Seconded by Commission Mains. Ayes all. The Commission reviewed the new position duty statement submitted by the Accounts Department. Commissioner Galvin made a motion to adopt the title of Assessment Clerk. CITY CENTER: Commissioner Mains made a motion to confirm the Labor Class appointment of Emily Perkins to the position of Cleaner effective January 14, 2013. Seconded by Commissioner Galvin. Ayes all. LIBRARY: Commissioner Galvin made a motion to confirm the Non-Competitive appointment of Catherine Stevens to the position of Librarian I part time effective January 14, 2013. Seconded by Commissioner Mains. Ayes all. PUBLIC SAFETY: Commissioner Mains made a motion to confirm the Provisional appointment of Lisa Sarro to the position of Parking Enforcement Officer effective January 7, 2013. Seconded by Commissioner Galvin. Ayes all. Commissioner Galvin made a motion to confirm the following temporary Non-Competitive appointments to the position of Vehicle Traffic Control for the City’s First Night Celebration (December 31, 2012) Seconded by Commissioner Mains. Seconded by Commissioner Galvin. Ayes all.
