Hamlet storefront and entrances will be disrupted a month. Hamlet owners are pushing back. b. Tina pursuing extra money to cover install costs (namely the irrigation system at Hamlet that needs to be brought back up to code, estimated 50k). Consider requiring building owner to pay for part of it. 5. Touring route funding a. JMT has been hired to do Union Ave engineering. Kickoff first week of Aug. b. Saratoga Springs has 1.4M from 2021 and 1.5 2022 and 1.5 2023 sitting in the bank. i. JMT had brought this up in their presentation and are completing the paperwork. For Union Ave JMT will get this reimbursed. ii. $ is from mileage of state touring. This $ can be used on any city street as long it is NOT a state roadway. iii. Tina asked for 317.5k for each year for ADA from Capital Budget $. To be used for new sidewalk and curb sections. This $ will enable paying for sidewalks. iv. Potential projects: connecting links on east side by harness track & wait for Safe Routes to School grant results before funding project & sidewalks by exit 15 for Wiebel 6. ADA Transition Plan 7. Greenbelt Trail Connector- proposal in holding pattern with spelling edits 8. Other business a. Zim Smith Connection i. City is hiring grants consultant who will pursue funding for projects with Compelte Streets. This person will also help with grant admin after grant is awarded. ii. Money in the TIP for engineering. The total project is $9M, and this is $1.4M to get started. b. Tina put in funding for a “blue way” for stream way for signage for various sites and to create appropriate parallel parking i. With open space funding Tina made various parcels official Park Land c. Park adjacent to parking garage- Committee needs to write letter to mayor and group to ensure the area is truly zoned park land.
