City of Saratoga Springs Board of Ethics Minutes Thursday, April 9, 2015 Present: Justin Hogan – Chair, Courtney DeLeonardis, Marilyn Rivers, Brendan Chudy and John Ellis with Tony Izzo as Advisor and Trish Bush. Absent: None The meeting was called to order at 5:09 PM in the City Hall City Council Room Approve meeting minutes from 1/15/15: Minutes accepted and ok to post. NOTE: There was no Ethics Board meetings held in either February or March 2015 Old Business: 1) The Board has completed the review of the Code of Ethics. Tony will work with Trish to provide a completed, red-lined document for final review. The Disclosure form needs to be updated prior to finalizing the Code of Ethics as the form is contained in the code. 2) Justin Hogan provided the 2014 Annual Report for review. Motion to accept the 2014 Annual Report was made by Justin Hogan, second by Marilyn Rivers. All in favor. Motion passed. Trish to provide a copy to the Mayor for her review and comments. 3) The Board reviewed all disclosure forms returned to date. Two (2) are missing and twelve (12) are incomplete. Trish will contact the Chair of the respective Board and request completion. 4) The Board reviewed the Procedures of the Board of Ethics and provided comments. Trish will put a redline document together and forward to the Board prior to the next meeting. 5) The current Disclosure Form is not easy to understand how to complete. Marilyn Rivers advised that Governor Cuomo has a sharp focus on this type of document therefore more complete information is better. Trish provided several forms for review. The Board agreed to review the forms and provide feedback prior to the next meeting. New Business: None Motion to Adjourn the BOE was made by Justin Hogan and seconded by Brendan Chudy.
