Participatory Budget Committee October 17, 2022, 5:30 pm Minutes Committee Attendees: Mary Estelle Ryckman (Chair), Danielle Lepper, Jeff Altamari, Douglas Gerhardt, Tim Holmes and Devin Dal Pos Other Attendees: Finance Commissioner Minita Sanghvi and Deputy Commissioner Heather Crocker Approval of Minutes: Minutes for the last meeting on October 3, 2022, were approved. Timeline Discussion: The next meeting will be held on 11/7 with no meeting on 10/31 due to Halloween. At the 11/7 meeting, we expect to discuss and agree on the projects for the ballot. Then the recommended ballot will be submitted to the Commissioner of Finance and Deputy Commissioner of Finance for their review. There was a discussion of when the PB vote should be held. Tentatively, several in-person presentations are planned to get information about the PB projects on the ballot and how to vote out to the public. A discussion about possible locations included the library, the Recreation Center on Vanderbilt, and at a neighborhood association on the west side of the city. Plans will be finalized later in November. Additional information will be placed on the city’s website and on Facebook. Committee approved a motion to have the public PB vote from 12/3 to 12/11. City Budget: Commissioner Sanghvi provided an update on the city’s budget discussions that are underway. A final budget is expected to be approved prior to November 30. The next meeting is on November 7, at 5:30 pm, at City Hall. Meeting was adjourned at 6:30 pm.
