August 18, 2015 ***VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES*** August 18, 2015 SAUKVILLE MUNICIPAL CENTER 639 E GREEN BAY AVE., SAUKVILLE, WI 53080 Village President Barb Dickmann called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. Village Administrator Dawn Wagner gave the Statement of Public Notice. Members: Barb Dickmann-present, Dan Sauer-present, David Maglio-present, Mike Krocka-present, Michael Gielow-present, Joe Caban-present, and Scott Fischer-present Others Present: Dawn Wagner, Ray deBruijn, Chief Goetz, and Vicki Lee PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITIZEN COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS None APPROVE MINUTES OF AUGUST 4, 2015 MEETING Sauer/Krocka made a motion to approve the August 4th, 2015 minutes as presented. Motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT Dickmann stated she received a very nice thank you from the Brock family. She stated that she is not hurrying to replace Don Brock on the Plan Commission. He had been on the Commission for many years and will be hard to replace. If anyone knows of someone who would be a good fit, please let her know REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR Wagner thanked NNO for another great year. Officer Neese and the whole Saukville Police Department did an awesome job. ORDINANCES – RESOLUTIONS – PETITIONS Res. #1218 – Time Warner Cable – Personal Property Refund Krocka/Sauer made a motion to waive the reading of Res. #1218. Motion carried. Sauer/Krocka made a motion to adopt Res. #1218 – Time Warner Cable – Personal Property Refund. Motion carried. REPORTS OF VILLAGE BOARD COMMITTEES Utility Committee No meeting was held. Public Works Committee No meeting was held. Public Safety Committee No meeting was held. Finance Committee Dickmann reported on the meeting of August 18, 2015. Claims for June 2015 in the amount of $247,617.03 were reviewed and approved.  August 18, 2015 Other Matters: The Budget Watch and Investment Report were reviewed. Approved Res. #1218 – Time Warner Cable- Personal Property Refund. Went into Closed Session to discuss an employee leave issue and came out with no action being taken. The September calendar has some changes due to Labor Day. The last Live at the Triangle is August 19th – please come for Saukville’s 100th Anniversary kick-off. The Library will host the 100th Anniversary Celebration on October 17th 2:30 – 5:30. The Library will also have an exhibit called Working Warriors-Military Life Beyond Combat, August 17th- September 4th. A Veterans Night Celebration Flag Ceremony will be held Thursday August 20 th at 5:30 p.m. REPORTS OF SPECIAL COMMITTEES Plan Commission Next meeting is this Thursday, August 20, 2015. Community Development Authority/Industrial Review Committee Next meeting is this Thursday, August 20, 2015. Library Board Caban reported on the meeting of August 11th, 2015. Most of the meeting was already reported on regarding the 100th Anniversary Celebration and the library exhibit. Two new employees were hired this week. Mid-Moraine Municipal Association No report OPERATOR’S LICENSE APPROVALS Krocka/Caban made a motion to approve the Operator’s License Applications for Zierck for American Legion, Langhoff for Tri-Par, and Cribb for Railroad Station. Motion carried. LIQUOR LICENSE APPROVALS None CITIZEN MATTERS AS NOTICED None ADJOURNMENT Krocka/Sauer made a motion to adjourn.
