September 19, 2017 ***VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES*** September 19, 2017 SAUKVILLE MUNICIPAL CENTER 639 E Green Bay Ave SAUKVILLE, WISCONSIN Village President Barb Dickmann called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Village Clerk Mary Kay Baumann gave the Statement of Public Notice. Members: Barb Dickmann-present, Dan Sauer-present, David Maglio-absent, Michael Gielow-present, Joe Caban-present, and Scott Fischer-present Others Present: Dawn Wagner, Mary Kay Baumann, Chief Goetz, Lt. Meyer, Vicki Lee, and Joe Poirier- Ozaukee Press PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITIZEN COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS None. APPROVE MINUTES OF AUGUST 31, 2017 MEETING Fischer/Caban made a motion to approve the August 31, 2017 minutes as presented. Motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT Dickmann thanked the Board members for their time on the 2018 Budget Tour. REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR Wagner thanked the Board as well and noted that the staff appreciates that the Board takes the time to visit each department. ORDINANCES – RESOLUTIONS – PETITIONS None. REPORTS OF VILLAGE BOARD COMMITTEES Utility Committee No report. Public Works Committee No report. Public Safety Committee Sauer reported on the meeting of September 19, 2017. An update was given on the situation with Beck’s Exxon and the Foster Dr/STH 33 intersection. It appears that things are going well and there is a good traffic pattern. Finance Committee Dickmann reported on the meeting of September 19, 2017. Claims for August 2017 in the amount of $300,049.69 were reviewed and approved. The Budget Watch and Investment Report were also reviewed.  September 19, 2017 A recommendation was made to the Village Board to approve a 3-Year Agreement for Assessment Services with Accurate Appraisal, LLC. Sauer/Gielow made a motion to approve a 3 year Agreement for Assessment Services with Accurate Appraisal, LLC as presented. Motion carried. A recommendation was made to the Village Board to approve the Loader Cab Repair at a cost of $5,705.50 to be paid from the DPW-Equipment Replacement Fund. Sauer/Caban made a motion to approve the Loader Cab Repair at a cost of $5,705.50 to be paid from the DPW-Equipment Replacement Fund. Motion carried. A recommendation was made to the Village Board to approve the Wing Plow Replacement at a cost of $3,364.00 to be paid from the DPW-Equipment Replacement Fund. Fischer/Sauer made a motion to approve the Wing Plow Replacement at a cost of $3,364.00 to be paid from the DPW-Equipment Replacement Fund. Motion carried. OTHER MATTERS The appliance drop off site has taken in 83 pieces already this year. REPORTS OF SPECIAL COMMITTEES Plan Commission No report. Community Development Authority/Industrial Review Committee No report. Library Board Sauer reported on the meeting of September 12, 2017. Sauer stated that discussion was held regarding the 2018 budget. Mid-Moraine Municipal Association Fischer reported on the meeting of September 13, 2017. Fischer stated that the scheduled guest did not attend. Discussion was held regarding emerald ash borer and the next meeting date was set for October 11, 2017. OPERATOR’S LICENSE APPROVALS Sauer/Caban made a motion to approve New Operator License Applications for Zoske and Berna for Rallytime Sports Bar, Yost, Balogh and Housman for J’Sports Bar, and Heinz for Railroad Station. Motion carried. LIQUOR LICENSE APPROVALS None. CITIZEN MATTERS AS NOTICED None. ADJOURNMENT Sauer/Gielow made a motion to adjourn.
