October 17, 2017 ***VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES*** October 17, 2017 SAUKVILLE MUNICIPAL CENTER 649 E Green Bay Ave SAUKVILLE, WISCONSIN Village President Barb Dickmann called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Village Clerk Mary Kay Baumann gave the Statement of Public Notice. Members: Barb Dickmann-present, Dan Sauer-present, David Maglio-present, Michael Gielow-absent, Joe Caban-present, and Scott Fischer-present Others Present: Dawn Wagner, Mary Kay Baumann, Lt. Meyer, Vicki Lee, and Dave Boehler-Ozaukee Press PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITIZEN COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS None. APPROVE MINUTES OF OCTOBER 9, 2017 MEETING Maglio/Fischer made a motion to approve the October 9, 2017 minutes as presented. Motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT Dickmann welcomed the new local reporter, Dave Boehler from the Ozaukee Press. REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR Wagner welcomed Boehler as well. ORDINANCES – RESOLUTIONS – PETITIONS None. REPORTS OF VILLAGE BOARD COMMITTEES Utility Committee Sauer reported on the meeting of October 17, 2017. Discussion was held regarding the 2018 Water and Wastewater Utility budgets. Resolution #1263 – 2018 Water Utility Budget and Resolution #1264 Wastewater Utility Budge were recommended to the Village Board for approval. Sauer reported that Well #6 is nearing the end of the project with work to be done on the roof and mechanicals. The contractor has one (1) month to finish the project. Sauer reported that Well #4 has been rehabbed and is working well. Work on the water tower is planned for 2018. Public Works Committee No report. Public Safety Committee No report.  October 17, 2017 Finance Committee Dickmann reported on the meeting of October 17, 2017. Dickmann stated that a Lease Agreement with the Saukville Chamber of Commerce was recommended to the Village Board for approval. Maglio/Caban made a motion to approve the Lease Agreement with the Saukville Chamber of Commerce. Motion carried. Committee went into Closed Executive Session with no action taken. Discussion was held regarding the 2018 Budget. A Public Hearing will be scheduled for Tuesday, November 28th for the 2018 Budget. A recommendation was made to the Village Board to approve the Vision-Mission-Strategic Priorities for the Village of Saukville. Sauer/Caban made a motion to approve the Vision-Mission-Strategic Priorities for the Village of Saukville. Motion carried. OTHER MATTERS None. REPORTS OF SPECIAL COMMITTEES Plan Commission No report. Community Development Authority/Industrial Review Committee No report. Library Board Caban stated that the minutes of the October 10, 2017 meeting were in the packets for review. Caban stated that the November Library Board meeting was cancelled but there will be a listening session held at Smith Bros. in Port Washington to listen to audio files that were donated to the Library. Mid-Moraine Municipal Association Fischer reported that they did not have a quorum for the October 11th meeting. General discussion was held with the next meeting being set for January 10, 2018. OPERATOR’S LICENSE APPROVALS Sauer/Fischer made a motion to approve Wiese for Exxon Mobil, Wellman for Tri-Par, and Murphy for Rally Time. Motion carried. LIQUOR LICENSE APPROVALS None. CITIZEN MATTERS AS NOTICED None. ADJOURNMENT Maglio/Fischer made a motion to adjourn.
