March 30, 2020 ***VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES*** March 30, 2020 SAUKVILLE MUNICIPAL CENTER 639 E. GREEN BAY AVE., SAUKVILLE, WI 53080 Meeting Conducted via Wis-Line Village President called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. Village Clerk Mary Kay Baumann gave the Statement of Public Notice. Members Present via Wis-Line: Barb Dickmann-present, David Maglio-absent, Richard Belling- absent, Scott Fischer-present, Trevor Seitz-absent, Jim Nowlen-present, and Andy Hebein- present. Others Present: Dawn Wagner, Mary Kay Baumann PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITIZEN COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS None. APPROVE MINUTES OF MARCH 17, 2020 MEETING Hebein/Nowlen made a motion to approve the March 17, 2020 minutes as presented. Motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT Appointment of Deputy Clerk – Wagner Baumann stated that this appointment is being made in the event she is ill or unable to perform the functions of the Clerk. The Deputy Clerk would perform those functions. Nowlen/Hebein made a motion to approve the appointment of Dawn Wagner as Deputy Clerk. Motion carried. Dickmann gave a huge “Thank You” to all of the Village staff for their handling of Village duties during this pandemic. REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR Wagner stated that she sent information for Trustees to set up Zoom Meeting on their i-pads or other devices. The next Finance/Village Board Meetings will be held through Zoom on Wednesday, April 8 th. Wagner stated that there will be a virtual audit presentation at that Finance Meeting. ORDINANCES – RESOLUTIONS – PETITIONS Res. #1307 – Designation of “Emergency Responders” Employees Wagner stated that she worked with Kyle Gulya to set up parameters in regards to the definition of “Emergency Responder”. This resolution is being put in place due to new legislation as it relates to COVID- 19. This resolution defines governmental functions and emergency responders. Trustee Belling was unable to connect for the Wis-Line meeting but called in and stated that he is in favor of Res. #1307 – Designation of “Emergency Responders” Employees.  March 30, 2020 Nowlen/Fischer made a motion to waive the reading of Res. #1307 – Designation of “Emergency Responders” Employees. Motion carried. Hebein/Nowlen made a motion to approve Res. #1307 – Designation of “Emergency Responders” Employees. Motion carried. REPORTS OF VILLAGE BOARD COMMITTEES Utility Committee No report. Public Works Committee Wagner stated that all documents have been signed and the Cedar Sauk Road Project is moving forward. Public Safety Committee No report. Finance Committee No report.
