***VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES*** May 7, 2024 SAUKVILLE MUNICIPAL CENTER and VIA ZOOM 639 E. GREEN BAY AVE., SAUKVILLE, WI 53080 Village President Andy Hebein called the meeting to order at 6:57 p.m. Julie Friede gave the Statement of Public Notice. Members: Andy Hebein-present, Jim Nowlen-present, William Rudolph-present, Jesse Duckart-present, Pamela Duckart-present, Wendy Smith-present and Brandon Ashley-present. Others Present: Dawn Wagner, Julie Friede, Emily Laws, Kay Goodwin, Mary Ellen Race – American Legion, Prudence Petrykowski- American Legion, Don Race – American Legion and Sally Kupkovits – American Legion. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITIZEN COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS None. APPROVE MINUTES OF APRIL 16, 2024 MEETING. Rudolph/P. Duckart made a motion to approve minutes of April 16, 2024. Motion Carried. COMMUNICATIONS REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT Hebein read a proclamation celebrating Municipal Clerks Week and presented it to Clerk Friede. Hebein read a Poppy Day Proclamation. Legion members were present to receive the proclamation and distribute poppies. Hebein stated a member of the Library Board resigned from the Library Board and Kay Goodwin, a Village of Saukville Resident, is interested in Joining the Library Board Goodwin spoke on her behalf to inform the Board of experience, knowledge and background in the Library Sector. Laws added she would be a great addition to the Library Board. REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR Wagner thanked Friede for all her hard work and commended her for always taking the initiative to attend extra classes/webinar to gain the knowledge for the Clerk position. ORDINANCES – RESOLUTIONS –PETITIONS REPORTS OF VILLAGE BOARD COMMITTEES Utility Committee No Report. Public Works/Cemetery Committee No Report. Next Meeting Scheduled for May 14, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Public Safety Committee No Report. Next Meeting Scheduled for May 21, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. Finance Committee Hebein reported on the Meeting of May 7, 2024 Approved Claims for April 2024 in the Amount of $991,598.35. Reviewed Investment Report. REPORTS OF SPECIAL COMMITTEES Plan Commission Approved Minutes of February 6, 2024 and February 14, 2024 as presented. Reviewed and Approved a Certificate of Compliance – Change of Use submitted by Nick Jewett for American Family, Jewett & Associates LLC. Reviewed and Approved the signage plan submitted by Nick Jewett – American Family, Jewett & Associates LLC. Reviewed and Approved the proposed 42,000 SF New Sports Facility Building, Architectural Plans, Site Plan, Utilities, Storm Water Management Plan, Water and Sanitary Sewer Plans, Lighting, Parking and Landscaping Plans, located in Northern Gateway- South Campus (Mel’s Village), as requested by Joe Chapman and Tyler Mueller- Gateway Sports Academy contingent upon the items listed in the 5-7-2024 letter from Building Inspector and email dated 4-16-2024 from the Village Engineer (R&M) are addressed and all required permits are obtained and all required fees (including Impact Fees, Utility connection fees, etc.) are paid. Next Scheduled Meeting – Tuesday, May 14, 2024 @ 6:00 p.m. Mid-Moraine Municipal Association Rudolph passed out Minutes from the March 27, 2024 and April 10, 2024 meetings. Next Scheduled Meeting – Wednesday, May 8, 2024. Dinner Meeting is scheduled on May 22, 2024 hosted by the Village of Fredonia. OPERATOR LICENSE APPROVALS None. LIQUOR LICENSE APPROVALS None.
