Held April 20, 2026
Mayor Bucciferro called the meeting to order at 6:00p.m.
PRESENT: Trustee Brown, Cook, Gray, Solotruck & Mayor Bucciferro
FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027 TENTATIVE BUDGET
Mayor Bucciferro stated that he reviewed the revised budget numbers following the amendments
that were made during the April 15th budget meeting; the result was a reduction in the tax rate to
6.08%. This budget retains the essential services provided to village residents. In addition, the
Mayor reiterated the Boards decision to implement a hiring freeze and establishment of an
intermunicipal task force focused on service delivery and potential partnerships.

• VOTE ON ADOPTION OF BUDGET
MOVED by Trustee Cook, seconded by Trustee Solotruck that
Whereas, the Mayor’s Tentative Budget was filed with the Village Clerk and distributed
to the Board of Trustees on March 20, 2026 and presented to the Board of Trustees at a
meeting held on March 24, 2026, and
Whereas, said Tentative Budget has been reviewed and discussed by the Board of
Trustees, and
Whereas, the Board of Trustees made revisions to the Mayor’s Tentative Budget on
March 31, 2026, and
April 20, 2026
Whereas, the Board of Trustees met to discuss the budget on April 7, 2026 and held a
public hearing on the Budget on April 8, 2026, and
Whereas, additional revisions were made on April 15, 2026 by Board of Trustees, now
therefore,
Be it Resolved, that the Tentative Budget presented to the Mayor and amended by the
Board of Trustees on March 31, 2026 and April 15, 2026, is hereby adopted as the
Budget of the Village of Scotia for Fiscal Year 2026-2027.

Noes: Trustee Gray
Abstentions: None
ADJOURNMENT
MOVED by Trustee Gray, seconded by Trustee Brown adjourn the meeting at 8:40p.m.
