OPENING Call to Order: Council President Higgs called the meeting to order at 6:08p.m. Roll Call Present: Councilmember Monica Higgs, Councilmember Hope Love, Vice Mayor Shireka McCarthy, Councilmember Kelly Porter, Councilmember Gerald Raynor, Sr., Councilmember Kizzie Scott, Councilmember Gloria Sistrunk It was motioned by Councilmember Porter and seconded by Councilmember Love to go into the Closed Session with the City Attorney, Interim City Manager and City Clerk. The motion carried and was unanimously approved by the City Council. The City Council, met in a Closed Session for the purpose § 3-305(b) Request Motion to go into Closed Session under Statutory Authority 3-305(b) "(7) To consult with counsel to obtain legal advice (8) “To consult with staff, consultants, or other individuals about pending or potential litigation The City Council met in a Closed Session with the City Attorney, Interim City Manager and City Clerk to seek legal advice and consult with staff regarding the vacancy and city charter. The meeting was adjourned at 7:580p.m. The Closed Session was held via Zoom Webinar. The Councilmember's who voted to Close the meeting: Higgs, Love, Porter, Raynor, Scott and Sistrunk Councilmember Sistrunk departed the meeting at the end of the Closed Session at 7:57p.m. Submitted by, Dashaun N.
