CALL TO ORDER: The Senior Citizen Advisory Committee meeting was called to order at 9:00
a.m.
ROLL CALL: Present: Judy Beste, Teresa Cicrich-Powell, Vicki Lockwood, Delores Parks, Wayne
Morgan. Excused: Veena Mehta. Also present: Youlanda Givens, Phyllis Sanders
ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF: Linda Croasdill, Recreation Program Supervisor; Amy Oliverson,
Recreation Program Specialist
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Minutes dated March 17, 2026, were approved as presented.
SEATAC CAFÉ UPDATE: Ethiopian lunch & coffee ceremony was very successful, 62 attendees,
transportation was better. Composting will begin when we receive the bin. Met with Hannah from
Recology. Hannah will come back to do some classes.
MONEY MANAGEMENT UPDATE: Explanation of RRCF fund history. February statement
reviewed.
PURCHASES: Supplies for nametags have been purchased.
NEW BUSINESS: PROS plan – next public meeting is July 29.
OLD BUSINESS: Introduced Gina Smith. Workout group doing great. Encouraging people to check
in (drawing)
FUTURE TOPICS: Safe spaces? Linda’s brother do another class? Men’s activities – basic home
repair – how do I find out what’s going on? Phyllis – concerns about transportation, food desert (Angle
Lake Court), people don’t have the information/education to know what’s available
ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 10:05 a.m.

recreational, social, and educational services. Act as advocates and advisors to the
City of SeaTac Council on issues relating to the senior population.

Teresa Cicrich-Powell, Delores Parks and Gina Smith
