#21344 – 3121 Huntington Road – Window Alteration.
John Payne, architect, said they are altering the window to be shorter. This will allow them to extend
the kitchen inside the house. The new window is a wood clad window.
Mr. Walter asked if they are able to raise the window head height. This may allow for the entire
window to be raised.
Mr. Payne said it is possible, but there are other windows with the lower head height. He has to
check the structure to be sure this is possible.
Ms. Madison and Mr. Berlekamp said they were accepting of either solution.
Approved with the following conditions: 1) that the infill siding is toothed in; and 2) the existing
window size be maintained moving the head of the new window up to the trim board.
#21345 – 19224 Lomond Boulevard – New Siding.
Igor Abramovsky, Genesis Construction Group, said they propose to use vinyl siding on the front
and rear addition areas where there is aluminum siding. The new siding will be a double 5 inch in
almond color. The corner boards are also almond color.
Approved with the corner trim matching the wall color and black shutters of the same size.
#21346 – 18530 Lomond Boulevard – New Siding.
Joe Leonetti, Cleveland Roofing and Siding, explained a tree fell in the rear yard and there was roof
and siding damage. They tried 7 separate suppliers, but the existing siding is not made any more. The
new siding will be a double 5 inch herringbone color, with corner boards of herringbone. The trim is
white.
Ms. Madison asked about trim around the front door and picture window.
MR. Leonetti said that trim will remain. They will replicate the existing window and fascia trim.
Approved.
#21347 – 2939 Attleboro Road – Addition.
Mr. Feinstein reviewed the comments from the previous preliminary review of the application.
Cory Brown, George Clemens Architecture, explained the changes that have been made to the
addition connector and in-law suite. The brick is now at the lower window level and the grid pattern
of the family room connector windows have been revised. The changes respond to the comments
from the previous review.
Approved.
#21348 – 16300 Parkland Drive – Exterior Alterations.
Mr. Feinstein reviewed the comments from the meeting where the application was reviewed
preliminarily.
Jeremy Gatta, Danco Home Pro, explained the revised driveway location and landscaping. He
described the front entry changes. All four sides of the house are now proposed to have double
hung windows. The side door will be removed and bricked in. The rear screened porch will become
an enclosed addition. One area of casement windows will be utilized at the large opening in the rear.
The roof will be replaced with GAF Weathered wood color asphalt shingles. They will also install
black louvered shutters.
Mr. Neville said he appreciates the response to the previous meeting comments. He asked if the

splay of front steps will return to the retaining wall. What is the material for any new railing at these
stairs.
Mr. Gatta said the steps will return to the retaining wall. They will use black steel railing to match the
house color scheme.
Mr. Berlekamp asked about the driveway moving. Will there be more retaining walls?
Mr. Gatta said they are working with an engineer. A match for the existing retaining wall materials is
what they propose if they need to add to the walls.
Approved with the following conditions: 1) the site plan is revised to reflect the front steps returning
to the retaining wall; and 2) that detailed plans of the retaining wall changes are submitted.
Submit revised plans for Planning Department staff review.
#21349 – 3364 Stockholm Road - Pergola.
Seth Hansen, Exscape Designs, said they are proposing a pergola at the patio and steps to the entry
door. They will use bluestone for the patio, brick and stone for the steps, and rough sawn cedar for
the pergola. The cedar will be left to age and turn grey.
Mr. Walter asked the width of the new stairs at the rear door. He would like to see a drawing of this
elevation to understand the alignment.
Mr. Hansen explained the center door is the only opening. The sides are windows. If the steps are
too wide it would interfere with the service entry door of the garage.
Mr. Walter said the pergola plans are very small and not detailed.
Continued in order for the applicant to provide the following information: 1) additional elevation
drawings showing the steps in relation to the doors; and 2) construction details for the pergola.
Submit revised plans for Board review.
#21350 – 2717 Rocklyn Road – Porch Alteration.
Leo Shiekh, designer, explained they are walling off a recessed entry for additional interior space.
They will use new cedar siding to match the house and an entry door.
Mr. Walter said he would like to see the entry door relate to the second floor window above.
Mr. Shiekh said the placement of the washing machine may interfere with the door swing if moved
to far. He will measure and move as much as he can to center the door on the window.
Ms. Madison and Mr. Berlekamp expressed concern over the existing stoop edge hanging over the

wall plane. It seems to be proud of the siding. There is also the possibility of thermal transfer at this
area.
Approved.
The Board asked that the entry door be centered, as close as possible, on the second floor window.
#21339 – 20979 Shaker Boulevard – Resubmission: Siding Material.
Mr. Feinstein reviewed the preliminary review comments.
Alex Kanareff, Brookes & Henderson, said they prepared a mock-up using Azek to replicate the
proposed ship lap siding material. They were not able to order small pieces of the NuCedar material
to do this type of mock-up. He explained where the existing lap siding and proposed ship lap siding
would meet. He said there are photos from farther away.
Mr. Neville said there does not seem to be enough of a shadow at 1/8 ich gap.
The Board agreed there is not much of a shadow line at 1/8 inch break. They prefer a ¼ inch mock
up to be made and photographed for their review.
Continued for the applicant to provide photographs of the siding mock up sample with a ¼ inch
gap.
