Return to Open Session per Wisconsin State Statutes 19.85 (2) and take appropriate action, if
required, on closed session matters.

CALL TO ORDER
• Chairperson Tony Zielinski called the Police & Fire Commission meeting to order on Thursday, September 18,
2025 at 3:30 PM at Shawano City Hall.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS
• Roll Call showed members present: President Tony Zielinski, Vice-President Marvin D. Erdman, Secretary
Stacey Cicero, Members Ronald Bystol, and Dan Mauel. Also present: Police Chief Mike Musolff and Captain
Shane Stange.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
• Motion by Maul to approve the agenda, seconded by Erdman. Motion carried by Voice Vote.
APPROVAL OF PRIOR POLICE AND FIRE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES
• Motion by Erdman to approve the August 13, 2025 Police & Fire Commission minutes, seconded by Bystol.
Motion carried by Voice Vote.
CLOSED SESSION
Go into Closed Session under Wisconsin State Statute 19.85 (1)(c) Considering employment, promotion, compensation
or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises
responsibility. (Police Officer interviews)
• Motion by Cicero to go into Closed Session per Wisconsin Statutes Section 19.85(1)(c) considering
employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of any public employee under the
Commission's jurisdiction (Police Officer interviews), and invite Chief Musolff and Captain Stange into
meeting, seconded by Mauel. Roll Call Vote "Ayes" Cicero, Mauel, Erdman, Bystol and Zielinski. "Nays"
None. Motion carried.
OPEN SESSION
Return to Open Session per Wisconsin State Statutes 19.85 (2) and take appropriate action, if required, on closed
session matters.
• Motion by Cicero to return to Open Session, seconded by Mauel. Motion carried by Voice Vote.
• Motion by Erdman to create an eligibility list with all candidates interviewed, seconded by Mauel. Motion
carried by Voice Vote.
FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
• None.
ADJOURNMENT
• Motion by Mauel to adjourn, seconded by Erdman. Motion carried by Voice Vote. Meeting adjourned at
5:08 PM.
