Sawyer Street, Shawano, WI CALL TO ORDER • Chairperson Tony Zielinski called the Police & Fire Commission meeting to order on Monday, March 31, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Shawano City Hall. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS • Roll Call showed members present: President Tony Zielinski (phone), Vice-President Marvin D. Erdman, Secretary Stacey Cicero, Members Ronald Bystol, and Dan Mauel (zoom). • Also present: Police Chief Mike Musolff and Captain Shane Stange. APPROVAL OF AGENDA • Motion by Bystol to approved the agenda, seconded by Cicero. Motion carried by Voice Vote. APPROVAL OF PRIOR POLICE AND FIRE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES • Motion by Mauel to approve the March 20, 2025 Police & Fire Commission minutes, seconded by Bystol. Motion carried by Voice Vote. CORRESPONDENCE • None. PUBLIC COMMENT If anyone is present and wishes to speak during public comment, they shall state their name and address for the record. CLOSED SESSION Go into Closed Session under Wisconsin State Statute 19.85 (1)(c) Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. (Sergeant interviews) • Motion by Cicero to go into Closed Session per Wisconsin Statutes Section 19.85(1)(c) considering employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of any public employee under the Commission's jurisdiction (Sergeant interviews), and invite Chief Musolff and Captain Stange into the meeting, seconded by Bystol. Roll Call Vote "Ayes" Cicero, Bystol, Erdman, Mauel and Zielinski. "Nays" None. Motion carried. OPEN SESSION Return to Open Session per Wisconsin State Statutes 19.85 (2) and take appropriate action, if required, on closed session matters. • Motion by Cicero to return to Open Session, seconded by Mauel. Motion carried by Voice Vote. • Motion by Mauel to promote Officer Michael Pecore to Sergeant effective April 1, 2025, seconded by Bystol. Roll Call Vote "Ayes" Mauel, Bystol, Erdman, Cicero, and Zielinski. "Nays" none. Motion carried.
