MINUTES Monday, March 8, 2010 Informational Meeting 4:00 p.m. at Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West 10th Street Members Present: Kenny Anderson Jr., Gerald Beninga, Vernon Brown, J. Pat Costello, Greg Jamison, Bob Litz, Kermit Staggers, and Mayor Dave Munson. Members Absent: De Knudson. Staff Present: Debra A. Owen, City Clerk, and Jamie L. Palmer, Assistant City Clerk 1. Call To Order The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. 2. City Council Staff Report A. Updates by Debra A. Owen, City Clerk Owen spoke about a gift that was recently given to the council. It is a framed agenda from the meeting in which Sioux Falls became a "Home Rule" city and it was signed by the elected officicials at the meeting. It was gifted from Dan Nelson. 3. Mayor Munson Mark Cotter, Director of Public Works gave a brief presentation on potholes and other current Public Works projects. 4. Audit Committee No report. 5. Fiscal Committee No report. 6. Land Use Committee No report. 7. Public Services Committee Brown stated that the committee will meet immediately following the Informational meeting today and the topic of discussion is the wheelchair transport issue. 8. City Council Open Discussion Staggers asked about the Mayor and Council Members salaries. Costello stated that their pay decreases 1.4% for 2010. 9. Presentations A. 2010 SculptureWalk Program by Jim Clark, SculptureWalk Director and Russ Sorenson, Urban Planner B. Second Amendment to the Amended and Restated Commitment Agreement with the Lewis & Clark Regional Water System by Robert Amundson, City Attorney; Gregg Greenfield, Boyce, Greenfield, Pashby & Welk; and Steven Burian, Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. 10.
