MINUTES Monday, May 16, 2011 Informational Meeting 4:00 PM at Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West Tenth Street Members Present: Sue Aguilar, Kenny Anderson Jr., Vernon Brown, James Entenman, Michelle Erpenbach, Greg Jamison, Dean Karsky, Rex Rolfing , Mike T. Huether Members Absent: None. Staff Present: Debra A. Owen, City Clerk/Chief of Council Operations and Jamie L. Palmer, CMC, Assistant City Clerk 1. Call To Order Council Chair Jamison called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 2. City Council Staff Report A. Debra A. Owen, City Clerk/Chief of Council Operations Owen spoke about the Public Works Week events and reminded Council Members to keep the City Clerk's office informed if they plan to attend events. The deadline to apply for the Districting Commission is Monday, May 23, 2011. The applications are available online. She thanked the Council for the opportunity to attend the IIMC Conference last week. 3. Public Services Committee A. Report from meeting on Monday, May 9, 2011 Anderson Jr. reported that the committee discussed the Pawn Shop ordinance and said that the committee voted to move the item forward to the full council. The committee also discussed the administrative appeals process. 4. City Council Open Discussion Jamison asked Mark Cotter, Director of Public Works, to speak about potential additional 2011 street projects. Aguilar asked for clarification on events scheduled for Public Works Week.  Owen thanked Councilor Jamison for serving as City Council Chair for the past year. Anderson Jr. thanked Cotter for taking the time to speak with him at the Southside Kiwanis Club meeting last week. Jamison said that a working session is being scheduled for next week. Jamison said there is an Audit Committee meeting scheduled on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at 4:00 p.m. 5. Presentations A. April Monthly Financial Report by Tracy Turbak, Finance Director B.
