MINUTES Tuesday, January 3, 2012 Informational Meeting 4:00 PM at Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West Tenth Street Members Present: Sue Aguilar, Kenny Anderson Jr., Vernon Brown, James Entenman, Michelle Erpenbach, Greg Jamison, Rex Rolfing , Mike T. Huether Members Absent: Dean Karsky Staff Present: Sue Roust, Interim City Clerk and Jamie L. Palmer, CMC, Assistant City Clerk 1. Call To Order Council Chair Aguilar called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 2. Staff Report A. Sue Roust, Interim City Clerk Roust spoke briefly about the proposed ordinance to change Council meeting days. She asked Council Members for recommendations for Invocators through the end of February. 3. City Council Open Discussion Aguilar invited Darrin Smith, Director of Community Development to come forward to make a special announcement. Smith announced that Community Development Department received a $75,000 “Wells Fargo Housing Foundation Leading the Way Home Priority Markets” grant to help with neighborhood stabilization and revitalization in the core area. Wayne Miller, Wells Fargo Market President, spoke briefly about the grant program. 4. Presentations A. Top 10 City Initiatives by Kendra Siemonsma, Project Manager B. Update on East Bank Redevelopment Project by Erica Beck, Economic Development Manager 5. Executive Session A. Personnel matters pursuant to SDCL 1-25-2(1) and to consult with legal counsel pursuant to SDCL 1-25-2(3)  A motion made by Michelle Erpenbach and seconded by Rex Rolfing to enter Executive Session at 4:46 p.m. Aguilar called for a voice vote on that motion and all members voted yes.
