MINUTES Monday, April 30, 2012 Informational Meeting 4:00 PM at Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West Tenth Street Members Present: Sue Aguilar, Kenny Anderson Jr., Vernon Brown, James Entenman, Michelle Erpenbach, Greg Jamison, Dean Karsky, Rex Rolfing Members Absent: Mike T. Huether Staff Present: Lorie Hogstad, City Clerk; and Denise D. Tucker, CMC, Assistant City Clerk 1. Call To Order Council Chair Sue Aguilar called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 2. Staff Report A. Lorie Hogstad, City Clerk Hogstad said the City Clerk's Office will be renovated this week. She stated that the new calendars reflecting the Tuesday meetings are available. Hogstad said Denise D. Tucker, Assistant City Clerk, will be attending a meeting to discuss Joint City Council/(Minnehaha and Lincoln) Counties meetings. 3. City Council Open Discussion Aguilar discussed the formation of the new Council Operations Committee. She mentioned that there will be a Special City Council Meeting on Monday, May 21, 2012. Brown said tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. there will be a Fiscal Committee meeting. He said they will have a guest from the South Dakota Retirement System to discuss whether the City of Sioux Falls can become a member of SDRS, in the future. The committee will also be discussing the CIP surplus. Rolfing said the Land Use Committee will be meeting after this meeting. He said they will be discussing Urban Agriculture and some of the work that the task force has done; and Sign Code amendments. Jamison said that he, Karsky, Dave Bixler, and Rich Oksol, will be meeting, as a subcommittee, to discuss the CIP review process. Discussion followed. Aguilar discussed the changes to the Council Chambers. 4. Presentations A. March Monthly Financial Report by Tracy Turbak, Director of Finance B. Status Report Presentation of the Sioux Falls Regional Airport by Darrin Smith, Director of Community Development; Dan Letellier, Sioux Falls Airport General Manager; and Mike Breidenbach, Airport Board Chairman 5.
