MINUTES Tuesday, May 8, 2012 Informational Meeting 4:00 PM at Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West Tenth Street Members Present: Sue Aguilar, Kenny Anderson Jr., Vernon Brown, James Entenman, Michelle Erpenbach, Greg Jamison, Dean Karsky, Rex Rolfing and Mike T. Huether Members Absent: None Staff Present: Lorie Hogstad, City Clerk; and Tamara Jorgensen, CMC, Assistant City Clerk 1. Call To Order City Council Chair Sue Aguilar called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 2. Staff Report A. Lorie Hogstad, City Clerk Hogstad stated that the renovations in the City Clerk's Office are now complete. 3. Fiscal Committee A. Report on meeting held Tuesday, May 1, 2012 Brown stated that the Fiscal Committee continued the discussion on the Pension Design Study. He also stated that they discussed how to spend the remaining CIP supplemental budget funds. This item will be discussed at the next City Council Working Session scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 21, 2012, at the Carnegie Town Hall. Brown stated that Council Members Greg Jamison and Dean Karsky reported on their efforts for long term work on revising and bringing back the CIP Committee that is referenced in ordinance. Brown stated that David Bixler, Budget Analyst, brought forward an idea to standardize the reporting format for financials for companies or organizations that manage city-owned facilities for us. The committee gave him authorization to move forward with drafting a letter and to bring it back to the Fiscal Committee for their endorsement. 4. Land Use Committee A. Report on meeting held Monday, April 30, 2012 Rolfing stated that the Land Use Committee reviewed the Community Gardens Ordinance for the Urban Agriculture Task Force. This ordinance has been passed on to the Planning Commission for further consideration. 5. City Council Open Discussion There was none. 6. Presentations A.
