MINUTES Tuesday, August 28, 2012 Informational Meeting 4:00 PM at Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West Tenth Street Members Present: Sue Aguilar, James Entenman, Michelle Erpenbach, Greg Jamison, and Dean Karsky Members Absent: Kenny Anderson Jr., Rex Rolfing, Kermit L Staggers, and Mike T. Huether Staff Present: Tamara Jorgensen, CMC, Assistant City Clerk; David Bixler, Budget Analyst; and Jim David, Legislative/Operations Manager 1. Call To Order Council Chair Michelle Erpenbach called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. Erpenbach thanked the Minnehaha County Commissioners for the use of their Commission Meeting Room. She explained that City Council staff are temporarily located at the Main Library due to construction work at the Carnegie Town Hall. 2. Land Use Committee A. Report on meeting held Tuesday, August 21, 2012 Council Member Dean Karsky provided updates regarding the following topics that were discussed at the Land Use Committee Meeting: zoning ordinance amendments and the vicious dog ordinance revision. Karsky also stated that Darrin Smith, Director of Community Development, provided information on TIF policies and economic development updates. 3. City Council Open Discussion Lead Internal Auditor Rich Oksol introduced Kim Schroeder as the new Internal Auditor. Council Member Sue Aguilar announced that she is a new grandmother to a handsome baby boy named James Richard. 4. Presentations A. Land Management Integration Project by Kevin Smith, Assistant Director of Planning and Building Services; Chad Huwe, City Engineer; and Debra Gaikowski, Transit Planner 4:25 p.m. Council Member Kermit Staggers arrived at this time. B. Joint Powers Agreement with the Moody County Conservation District by Bob Kappel, Environmental Manager; and Jack Majeres, Moody County Conservation District Board Chairman 5.
