MINUTES Tuesday, July 1, 2014 Informational Meeting 4:00 PM at Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West Tenth Street Members Present: Kenny Anderson Jr., Michelle Erpenbach, Greg Jamison, Dean Karsky, Rex Rolfing, Kermit L. Staggers, Rick Kiley, Christine M. Erickson, and Mike T. Huether Members Absent: None Staff Present: Lorie Hogstad, CMC, City Clerk; David Bixler, Budget Analyst; Jim David, Legislative/Operations Manager; and Rich Oksol, Internal Audit Manager 1. Call To Order City Council Chair Dean Karsky called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 2. City Council Open Discussion Councilor Kermit L. Staggers stated he has heard that the City received a report from the third independent party that is reviewing the siding issue at the Events Center. The City Council is scheduled for a briefing on this issue three weeks from today. Staggers wondered if this briefing could be given next week. Karsky responded that he would work with and talk to the administration to see if it would be possible to present this information next week. 3. Presentations A. 2015-2019 Mayor's Recommended Capital Program by Mayor Huether Mayor Mike Huether presented the 2015-2019 Capital Program. There were no questions or comments from the City Council at this time, however, Karsky stated the City Council has scheduled working sessions to review and discuss the budget. B. Presentation of Sioux Falls Imagined - A Cultural Plan for a Vibrant and Prosperous City by Mike Cooper, Director of Planning and Building Services; Rob Oliver, Steering Committee Chairperson; and Nan Baker, Director of Sioux Falls Arts Council (Action on City Council Meeting of July 1, 2014) Mike Cooper, Director of Planning and Building Services, introduced and gave the history of the plan. A number of representatives from the Sioux Falls Arts Council were present at the meeting. Rob Oliver, Chair of the Cultural Planning  Steering Committee, reviewed the Cultural Plan. Randell Beck, Arts Leadership and Coordination member, gave closing remarks. 4. Adjournment City Council Chair Dean Karsky adjourned the meeting at 5:13 p.m. Lorie Hogstad, CMC City Clerk
