MINUTES Tuesday, September 13, 2016 Informational Meeting 4 PM at Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West Tenth Street Members Present: Christine M. Erickson, Michelle Erpenbach, Rick Kiley, Greg Neitzert, Rex Rolfing, Marshall Selberg, Pat Starr, and Theresa Stehly Members Absent: Mike T. Huether Staff Present: Tamara Jorgensen, MMC, Assistant City Clerk; Tom Greco, City Clerk; Jim David, Legislative/Operations Manager; Dave Bixler, Budget Analyst; and Rich Oksol, Internal Audit Manager 1. Call To Order Council Chair Rex Rolfing called the meeting to order at 4 p.m. 2. City Council Open Discussion Rolfing provided an update on his trip to Washington, D.C. to support the F-35 fighter jets coming to Sioux Falls. Additional information provided by Mark Lee, Public Affairs and Communications Director, for the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce. 3. Presentations A. Storm Drainage Internal Audit Report by Rich Oksol, Internal Audit Manager Rich Oksol, Internal Audit Manager, provided an update on the recent Storm Drainage Audit Report. Discussion followed. 4. Executive Session A. Consulting with legal counsel or reviewing communications from legal counsel about proposed or pending litigation or contractual matters per SDCL 1-25-2 (3) B. Preparing for contract negotiations or negotiating with employees or employee representatives per SDCL 1-25-2 (4). A motion was made by Council Member Rick Kiley and seconded by Council Member Christine M. Erickson to go into Executive Session at 4:20 p.m. to discuss: Consulting with legal counsel or reviewing communications from legal counsel about proposed or pending litigation or contractual matters per SDCL 1-25-2 (3) and preparing  for contract negotiations or negotiating with employees or employee representatives per SDCL 1-25-2 (4). A voice vote was taken and all members voted yes. Motion Passed. A motion was made by Council Member Michelle Erpenbach and seconded by Council Member Christine Erickson to exit Executive Session at 6:02 p.m. A voice vote was taken and all members voted yes.
