MINUTES Tuesday, June 6, 2017 Informational City Council Meeting 4:01 PM Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West 10th Street Members Present: Christine M. Erickson, Michelle Erpenbach, Rick Kiley, Rex Rolfing, Marshall Selberg, Pat Starr, Theresa Stehly Members Absent: Greg Neitzert, Mike T. Huether 1. Call To Order Council Chair Rick Kiley called the meeting to order at 4:01 p.m. 2. City Council Open Discussion Council Member Rex Rolfing provided an update on the May 24, UDC Transportation Coordination Committee meeting. Council Vice Chair Christine M. Erickson spoke about recent media coverage of ambulance service and encouraged the Council to come up with ideas to address particular items that are viewed as needing attention. She read a letter furnished to her and the Council Chair by Director of Public Health Jill Franken on the topic, which addressed EMS as a system and compliance standards, among other items. Discussion among the Council followed. 3. Presentations A. City Administration Building Update by Sue Quanbeck Etten, Director of Central Services Presentation: Approximately 10 minutes followed by discussion The presentation included: a rendering of the City Administration Building, milestones, a listing of the design and construction team, construction update, financial status, next steps, Van Eps Park improvements, and the date of the next update. Discussion about local contractors and vendors, excavation, costs, timeline, building use, and park construction followed. 4.
