MINUTES Informational Meeting Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 4:00 PM Carnegie Town Hall, 235 West 10th St., Sioux Falls, SD 57104 1. Call To Order Council Members Present: David Barranco, Miranda Basye, Sarah Cole, Rich Merkouris, Curt Soehl, Ryan Spellerberg, Richard L. Thomason Council Members Absent: Jennifer Sigette Council Chair Curt Soehl called the meeting to order at 4 p.m. 2. Committee/Commission Reports A. South Eastern Council of Governments (SECOG): Wednesday, September 18, 2024 (Council Members Basye and Sigette) There was no report. 3. Councilor Remarks Soehl announced that Sioux Falls was able to secure the American Jump Rope Federation National Championship for 2025. 4. Presentations A. Water Treatment and Distribution Master by Andy Berg, City Engineer; Nick Borns, Principal Engineer Presentation: Approximately 20 minutes followed by discussion Andy Berg, City Engineer, provided an overview of principal engineers and master plans. Nick Borns, Principal Engineer, provided a report on the Water Treatment and Distribution Master Plan (presentation attached to the agenda). Discussion followed with questions from the City Council being answered by Borns, Mark Cotter, Director of Public Works, and Chris Myers, Water Superintendent. 5. Public Comment  Mike Gray, Sioux Falls Development Foundation, spoke about the importance of water master planning for the long term development of the community. 6.
