MINUTES Informational Meeting Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 4:00 PM Carnegie Town Hall, 235 West 10th St., Sioux Falls, SD 57104 1. Call To Order Council Members Present: Miranda Basye, Sarah Cole, Rich Merkouris, Jennifer Sigette, Curt Soehl, Ryan Spellerberg, Richard L. Thomason Council Members Absent: David Barranco Council Chair Curt Soehl called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 2. Committee/Commission Reports A. Siouxland Heritage Museum Board: Thursday, January 9, 2024 (Council Member Soehl) Soehl stated he was provided with a tour of the Irene Hall storage facility, and noted it was about 10 years away from needing an expansion. Soehl added that the Pettigrew Museum is open for tours, if we wish to organize a tour, and that the County Courthouse Museum is going to be reshingled this year. 3. Councilor Remarks There were none. 4. Presentations A. Shape Sioux Falls 2050 Update by Christopher Shires, Confluence, Principal and Vice President; and Ryan Murray, ETC Institute, Assistant Director of Community Research Presentation: Approximately 20 minutes followed by discussion Fletcher Lacock, Planning and Development Services, gave a brief overview; then introduced Christopher Shires and Ryan Murray (presentation is attached to the agenda). After Shires and Murray's presentation there was discussion and questions asked by the Council were answered by Shires and Murray. 5. Public Comment There was none. 6.
