MINUTES Informational Meeting Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 4:00 PM Carnegie Town Hall, 235 West 10th St., Sioux Falls, SD 57104 1. Call To Order Council Members Present: Miranda Basye, Sarah Cole, Rich Merkouris, Ryan Spellerberg, Richard L. Thomason Council Members Absent: David Barranco, Jennifer Sigette, Curt Soehl Council Vice Chair Rich Merkouris called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 2. Committee/Commission Reports A. Urbanized Development Commission (UDC): Thursday, January 16, 2025 (Council Members: Barranco, Basye, Cole, Thomason) Councilor Miranda Bayse provided an update regarding approving the safety performance measurements and stated that grant awards announcements were made. 3. Councilor Remarks There were none. 4. Presentations A. Johnson Consulting Report: Convention Center Reuse Options by John Flemming and Brandon Dowling, Johnson Consulting Presentation: Approximately 30 minutes followed by discussion Shawn Pritchett, Director of Finance, gave a brief overview; then introduced staff from Williams Architects: Tom Poulos and Tedd Stromswold; and from Johnson Consulting: Charles Johnson and Brandon Johnson, who joined the meeting via Telecom. After the introduction, Brandon Johnson and Stromswold reviewed the presentation (presentation is attached to the agenda). Discussion and questions asked by the Council were answered by Stromswold, Poulos, and Pritchett. 5. Public Comment  There was none. 6.
