MINUTES Informational Meeting Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 4:00 PM Carnegie Town Hall, 235 West 10th St., Sioux Falls, SD 57104 1. Call To Order Council Members Present: David Barranco, Miranda Basye, Sarah Cole, Rich Merkouris, Jennifer Sigette, Curt Soehl, Ryan Spellerberg, Richard L. Thomason Council Members Absent: None Meeting called to order by Council Chair Curt Soehl. 2. Committee/Commission Reports A. Accessible Housing Advisory Board: Wednesday, March 5, 2025 (Council Member Merkouris) Council Vice Chair Rich Merkouris gave the report from the Accessible Housing Advisory Board Meeting. B. Siouxland Heritage Museum Board: Thursday, March 6, 2025 (Council Member Soehl) Soehl gave the report from the Siouxland Heritage Museum Board Meeting. 3. Councilor Remarks Councilor Miranda Basye spoke about the upcoming "Coffee with the Councilors" on Saturday, March 15, 2025. 4. Presentations A. Economic Development Partner Presentations by Ryan Oines, Chief Operating Officer, USD Discovery District; Brandon Hanson, Chief Executive Officer, Downtown Sioux Falls Presentation: Approximately 30 minutes followed by discussion Ryan Oines, Chief Operating Officer, USD Discovery District, gave an update on the University of South Dakota Discovery District (presentation attached to the agenda).  Following the presentation, there was some discussion, and the questions asked by Council were answered by Oines. Brandon Hanson, Chief Executive Officer, Downtown Sioux Falls, gave an update on Downtown Sioux Falls (presentation attached to the agenda). Following the presentation, questions asked by the Council were answered by Hanson. 5. Public Comment There was none. 6. Adjournment The meeting was adjourned at 4:52 p.m. Jermery J.
