City of Sioux Falls Council / Lincoln County Commission Joint Meeting Minutes Carnegie Town Hall, 235 West 10th Street MEETING OF Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. ROLL CALL PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE APPROVAL OF REGULAR AGENDA A motion was made by Council Member Bob Litz and seconded by Council Member Greg Jamison to approve the Regular Agenda. INTRODUCTION AND ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES 1. 2ND READING: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SIOUX FALLS, SD, AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY BY REZONING PROPERTY AT 26864 469TH AVE. FROM THE A-1 AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT TO THE ZENOBI PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT. (PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDS DENIAL.) A motion was made by Council Member Michelle Erpenbach and seconded by Council Member Bob Litz to adopt said Ordinance 69-10. A motion was made by Council Member Bob Litz and seconded by Council Member Kenny Anderson Jr. to amend Adding under 'Uses Permitted': 1) Outdoor storage for travel trailers, pick-up coaches, motor-homes, and camping trailers as defind in this ordinance; 2) Outdoor storage for recreational motor vehicles, including any vehicle which is adapted, designed and equipped to facilitate leisure time activities including, but not limited to, the following: ATVs, boats, snowmobiles, and motor vehicles utilized for motor vehicle racing events along with tailers to haul said vehicles; and 3) Fencing and landscaping plan to be approved by the Lincoln County and CIty of Sioux Falls Planning staffs and the property owners . A motion was made by Council Member Greg Jamison and seconded by Council Member Michelle Erpenbach to amend Adding under 'Uses Permitted': 1) Outdoor storage for travel trailers, pick-up coaches, motor-homes, and camping trailers as defind in this ordinance; 2) Outdoor storage for recreational motor vehicles, including any vehicle which is adapted, designed and equipped to facilitate leisure time activities including, but not limited to, the following: ATVs, boats, snowmobiles, and motor vehicles utilized for motor vehicle racing events along with tailers to haul said vehicles; and 3) The applicant will be responsible for planting eighteen 6' blue spruce trees (staggered) on the east side of the property, will maintain as many of the existing trees on the east side as they can, will add 400' fo white, vinyl fencing on the south side of the property - the fencing is to be 8' tall and match the existing fencing on the property.. 8:25 p.m. Discussion ended on this item and the resolution was heard at this time. A motion was made by Council Member Bob Litz and seconded by Council Member Michelle Erpenbach to approve said Resolution 71-10.
