APPROVAL OF THE REGULAR AGENDA
A motion was made by Council Member Cole and seconded by Council Member
Merkouris to approve the Regular Agenda.
Voice vote to approve. 6 Yes: Barranco, Cole, Jensen, Merkouris, Neitzert, Selberg; 0
No: (None). Motion Passed.
ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS, INFORMATIONAL ITEMS
1. 2nd Reading: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2002 REVISED JOINT ZONING
ORDINANCE FOR MINNEHAHA COUNTY AND THE CITY OF SIOUX FALLS BY
AMENDING CERTAIN PROPERTY AND TEXT WITHIN THE LAUREL RIDGE
PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT. (The County Planning Commission
recommends approval (4-1) of rezoning the remaining portion of Lot B from A1
Agricultural to Subarea A of the Laurel Ridge Planned Development District and an
exception to the hours of operations for New Year's to continue to 12:59 a.m.; The City
Planning Commission recommends approval (4-0) of rezoning the remaining portion of
Lot B from A1 Agricultural to Subarea A of the Laurel Ridge Planned Development
District and an exception to the hours of operations for New Year's to continue to 1:00
a.m.)
Private Applicant(s): Tyler Childress
A motion was made by Council Member Neitzert and seconded by Council Member
Cole to adopt Ordinance No. 71-22.
Roll call vote to adopt. 6 Yes: Barranco, Cole, Jensen, Merkouris, Neitzert, Selberg; 0
No: (None). Motion Passed.
The Minnehaha County Commission also approved Item 1 by a separate motion and
vote.
2. Presentation on The Link by Bill Earley, Executive Director
Bill Earley provided an update to the Council and Commission. No action was
requested.
3. 2021 Museum Enterprise Fund Report by Bill Hoskins, Director of the Siouxland
Heritage Museums
Bill Hoskins provided the report to the Council and Commission. No action was
requested. The 2023 recommended Museum Budget will be presented at the Joint
Meeting on August 23, 2022.
PUBLIC INPUT
Bob Kolbe spoke about guns and the 2nd Amendment.
Chad Bishop spoke about requesting updates to the City's Health Department online
information regarding COVID vaccines.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Council Member Cole and seconded by Council Member
Neitzert to adjourn the meeting at 6:11 p.m.
