MINUTES Special Planning Commission Meeting Monday, June 8, 2020 at 7:00 PM Carnegie Town Hall, 235 West 10th St., Sioux Falls, South Dakota 57104 CALL TO ORDER AND DETERMINATION OF QUORUM Commissioners Present: Sean Ervin, Kati Johnson, Kurt Johnson, Janet Kittams, Larry Luetke, John Paulson Commissioners Absent: Bradyn Neises, Aaron Norman, Erik Nyberg REGULAR AGENDA 1. REGULAR AGENDA APPROVAL A motion was made by Kurt Johnson and seconded by Larry Luetke to approve the Regular Agenda. Voice vote to approve. 5 Yes: Kati Johnson, Kurt Johnson, Janet Kittams, Larry Luetke, John Paulson; 0 No: (None). Motion Passed. 2. REGULAR AGENDA PETITIONS A. Petition: CU-011980-2020: Conditional Use Permit to allow a car wash within 250' of a DD form located at 1500 S. Minnesota Ave. Legal Description: VAC 24TH ST LYING ADJ & W37 S44 NE1/4 & W60 N88 NE1/4 & W40.5 SE1/4 & W1/2 BLK 5 & NW1/4 BLK 12 HAYES ADDN TO CITY OF SIOUX FALLS, MINNEHAHA COUNTY A motion was made by Kurt Johnson and seconded by Larry Luetke to approve with conditions: 1. Provide a minimum of a 6’ high screen fence along the entire east property line, then taper down to a 4’ fence a minimum of 20’ from the south property line along W. 25th St.; 2. Provide landscaping as indicated on the submitted landscape plan; 3. The vacuums be placed a minimum of 45’ from the east property line; 4. The decibels be no more than 60db at the east property line, adjacent to the existing residential uses.. Voice vote to approve with conditions. 5 Yes: Kati Johnson, Kurt Johnson, Janet Kittams, Larry Luetke, John Paulson; 0 No: (None). Motion Passed.
