MINUTES Planning Commission Meeting Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 6:00 PM Carnegie Town Hall, 235 West 10th St., Sioux Falls, South Dakota 57104 CALL TO ORDER AND DETERMINATION OF QUORUM Commissioners Present: Mike Gray, Janet Kittams, Erica Mullaly, Bradyn Neises, John Paulson, Dave Van Nieuwenhuyzen Commissioners Absent: Dana Fisher, Aaron Norman, Erik Nyberg Planning Commission Chair Bradyn Neises recused himself from the meeting and passed the gavel to Commissioner Janet Kittams at this time. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVAL A motion was made by Erica Mullaly and seconded by John Paulson to approve the Consent Agenda. Voice vote to approve. 4 Yes: Mike Gray, Erica Mullaly, John Paulson, Dave Van Nieuwenhuyzen; 0 No: (None). Motion Passed. Commissioner Janet Kittams passed the gavel back to Planning Commission Chair Bradyn Neises at this time. REGULAR AGENDA 4. REGULAR AGENDA APPROVAL A motion was made by John Paulson and seconded by Janet Kittams to approve the Regular Agenda. Petition: FLUA-020342-2024: Future Land Use Amendment to reclassify a Development Area identified in the Shape Sioux Falls 2040 Comprehensive Plan from Tier 2 and 3 to Tier 1 and amend the Future Land Use Map for the area from Future Light Industrial to Future Residential located east of 476th Ave. and south of Slip Up Creek Rd. Legal Description: A Portion of Sections 23, 26, and 27-T102N-R49W, As Shown by Exhibit, Minnehaha County, SD A motion was made by Mike Gray and seconded by Janet Kittams to approve Item 5A. Voice vote to approve. 5 Yes: Mike Gray, Janet Kittams, Erica Mullaly, John Paulson, Dave Van Nieuwenhuyzen; 0 No: (None). Motion Passed. B. Petition: REZ-020540-2024: Rezoning from the I-1 Light Industrial District to the RA-3 Apartment Residential—High Density District located east of I-29 and south of W. 12th St.  Legal Description: A Portion of Tract 1, Gage Brothers Addition, As Shown by Exhibit, City of Sioux Falls, Minnehaha County, SD A motion was made by Janet Kittams and seconded by Dave Van Nieuwenhuyzen to approve Item 5B. Voice vote to approve. 4 Yes: Mike Gray, Janet Kittams, Erica Mullaly, John Paulson; 1 No: Dave Van Nieuwenhuyzen. Motion Passed. 6.
