Public Services Committee Meeting

MINUTES Tuesday, February 11, 2014 Public Services Committee * 4:30 PM Carnegie Town Hall 235 West 10th Street Members Present: Council Member Kenny Anderson Jr., Council Member Michelle Erpenbach, Council Member Dean Karsky Members Absent: Council Member Sue Aguilar Staff Present: Tamara Jorgensen, CMC, Assistant City Clerk; and Jim David, Legislative/Operations Manager 1. Call To Order Committee Chair Kenny Anderson Jr. called the meeting to order at 5:56 p.m. 2. Review and approval of minutes dated November 12, 2013 A motion was made by Council Member Michelle Erpenbach and seconded by Council Member Dean Karsky to approve the minutes. Anderson Jr. called for a voice vote and all members voted yes. Motion Passed. 3. Review and approval of minutes dated January 14, 2014 A motion was made by Council Member Michelle Erpenbach and seconded by Council Member Dean Karsky to approve the minutes. Anderson Jr. called for a voice vote and all members voted yes. Motion Passed. 4. Ambulance Service RFP Project Update by Julie Charbonneau, REMSA Executive Director; and Jill Franken, Public Health Director Jill Franken, Director of Public Health, provided a quarterly update to the Committee regarding the selected consultant and formation of an RFP committee. Julie Charbonneau, REMSA Executive Director, discussed data analysis and drafting of the RFP. 5. Vehicle for Hire Ordinance Review by Jim David, Legislative/Operations Manager  Jamie Palmer, Licensing Specialist reviewed the Vehicle for Hire Business License Application. Discussion followed. Due to time restraints, the presentation was skipped. Public input was taken at this time. Discussion followed. 6:30 p.m. Council Member Michelle Erpenbach left the meeting at this time. This topic will be added to the agenda for the Public Service Committee Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 11, 2014. 6. Open Discussion There was none. 7.
