MINUTES Tuesday, June 14, 2016 Public Services Committee 5:40 PM Carnegie Town Hall 235 West 10th Street Members Present: Council Member Christine M. Erickson, Council Member Theresa Stehly, Council Member Marshall Selberg, and Council Member Pat Starr Members Absent: None Staff Present: Tamara Jorgensen, MMC, Assistant City Clerk; David Bixler, Budget Analyst; and Jim David, Legislative/Operations Manager 1. Call To Order Committee Chair Christine M. Erickson called the meeting to order at 5:40 p.m. 2. Review and approval of Minutes dated March 8, 2016 1. Review and approval of minutes dated March 8, 2016 A motion was made by Marshall Selberg and seconded by Theresa Stehly to approve the minutes. A voice vote was taken and all members voted yes. Motion Passed. 3. Secondary Access Road by Mike Cooper, Director of Planning and Building Services Mike Cooper, Director of Planning and Building Services, reviewed the following information regarding secondary access roads: the definitions and descriptions for preliminary subdivision plans; circulation plans; and an example of a preliminary plan (map). Chad Huwe, City Engineer, and Diane Best, Assistant City Attorney, reviewed the subdivision construction agreements. Discussion followed. Dean Lanier, Fire Marshal, reviewed emergency access fire standards (1 or 2 Family). Discussion followed. Cooper discussed proposed subdivision ordinance amendments for secondary street access; and Canterbury Heights temporary road (map). Heath Hoftiezer, Chief Traffic Engineer, provided additional information on this topic. Discussion followed.  The Public Services Committee unanimously agreed that this item should move forward for review by IRAB, the Planning Commission and then to the full City Council. 4.
