FINAL MINUTES Zoning Board of Adjustment Carnegie Town Hall Monday, April 15, 2019 6:00 p.m. MEMBERS PRESENT MEMBERS ABSENT Chairperson Michael Jones Jacqueline Cole Billy Pollema Ryan Rients Graham Oey Craig Markhardt Aaron Norman STAFF PRESENT Jason Bieber Barb Stoltenburg Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF DECEMBER 17, 2018, MEETING A motion was made by Craig Markhardt, seconded by Billy Pollema to approve the minutes of December 17, 2018. Chairperson Michael Jones called for a voice vote. All members voted yes. Motion passed. NEW BUSINESS Case BOA-009950-2019: Variance in the required front yard setback from 25’ to 0’. Applicant: Melisa Nichols Address: 2200 N. 3rd Ave A motion was made by Billy Pollema and seconded by Craig Markhardt to approve a variance in the required front yard setback from 25’ to 0’. During board discussion, Aaron Norman made a motion to amend the main motion to approve a variance in the required front yard setback with the following stipulations: 1. the variance is exclusive to the fence; 2. privacy slats will be installed; and 3. the intersection safety zone will be adhered to; and the motion was seconded by Billy Pollema. Vote on the motion to amend: Roll Call: Yeses, Aaron Norman, Craig Markhardt, Billy Pollema, Graham Oey, Michael Jones, 5. Noes, 0. Motion Passed. 1  A motion was made by Aaron Norman and seconded by Billy Pollema to approve the amended main motion.
