Chairperson Michael Jones called for a voice vote. All members voted yes. Motion passed. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Case BOA-010240-2019: Variance in the required number of off-street parking spaces from 10 to 0. Applicant: Reynolds Construction Management Address: 1101 N. Dakota Ave. A motion was made by Billy Pollema and seconded by Craig Markhardt to approve a variance in the required number of off- street parking spaces from 10 to 0. Vote to approve: Roll Call: Yeses, Jacqueline Cole, Billy Pollema, 2. Noes, Craig Markhardt, Graham Oey, Michael Jones, 3. Motion failed. Variance denied. Case BOA-010576-2019: Variance (1) to allow parking in the required front yard setback; (2) to allow parking in the required side yard setback; and (3) to allow more than 10 percent nonliving ground cover in the required front yard setback. Applicant: Matt & Lindsey Keiper Address: 2101 S. Holly Ave. 1  A motion was made by Billy Pollema and seconded by Graham Oey to approve a variance (1) to allow parking in the required front yard setback; (2) to allow parking in the required side yard setback; and (3) to allow more than 10 percent nonliving ground cover in the required front yard setback. During the discussion, Craig Markhardt made a motion to amend the main motion to approve the variance with the stipulation to meet the 90% living ground cover requirement and the motion was seconded by Graham Oey. Austin St. After the clerk read the variance request into the record, board member Jacqueline Cole recused herself from the discussion and voting on this case due to a personal conflict of interest. A motion was made by Craig Markhardt and seconded by Graham Oey to approve a variance in the required front yard setback from 20’ to 17.3’. Vote to approve: Roll Call: Yeses, 0.
