Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting
Minutes for April 27, 2021
1. Call to order at 6 p.m. by Tabi Gott
a. Attendees: Mike Pearson, Darryl Bowen, Gerald Brown, Danielle Pope, Tabi Gott
2. Minutes from 3/16/2021 approved
3. Parks Master Plan
a. Council approved a study to be done to create a Parks Master Plan 1, 3, 5, 7, 10
year plan
4. Summer Concert Series
b. Town staff is handling demographics for events. They will send out concert
commencement date
5. Smyrna at Night
c. Town staff will organize, and we will assist with whatever they need. A ToS table
will be set up – we can participate if we want.
6. Green Meadows and Sunnyside Grant
d. We are still waiting for final copy
7. Bike path Grant
e. No info at this time
8. Other committee business
a. Next meeting will be Tuesday May 18 at 6:00 p.m. Talked about getting the
committee and community together more, via fundraisers, sponsors, etc.
