PRESENT: Committee Chair Nehring Committee Vice-Chair Dunn Committee Member Wright Committee Member Mead Committee Member Low Ryan Countryman, Council Staff Frank Slusser, Planning & Development Services Debbie Eco, Clerk of the Council CALL TO ORDER: Committee Chair Nehring called the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m. ROLL CALL: The clerk called the roll and stated that all five members were present. PUBLIC COMMENT: The clerk provided zoom instructions for those wishing to provide public comment. She stated there were no persons present wishing to provide comment. Page 1 of 2 Planning and Community Meeting Minutes June 15, 2021 Development Committee DISCUSSION ITEM: 1. 2024 Update Policy Review and Scope - Information Briefing and 2021-0404 Discussion - Frank Slusser, Planning & Development Services Ryan Countryman, Sr. Legislative Analyst, provided an introduction. Frank Slusser, Planning & Development Services, provided a PowerPoint presentation and spoke in detail about the 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update. Mr. Slusser provided a suggested schedule for Council discussion at Planning Committee and a suggested schedule for Snohomish County Tomorrow, Council, SEPA, and Planning Commission deadlines. See pages 20 and 21 of the presentation. Committee Vice-Chair Dunn requested a copy of the 2019 studies that Mr. Slusser spoke of. Mr. Slusser said he would provide those. Committee Chair Nehring thanked Mr. Slusser for the presentation. Meeting adjourned at 11:05 a.m. Page 2 of 2
