May 5, 2022 South Amherst Board of Public Affairs Storm & Water Minutes Roll Call: Board Members: Zoltan Zoltai, Tom Pellittieri, Mark Leshinski Operator of Record: None Present Clerk: Alexandra Sabine Liaison and Council Representative: None Present Visitors: Mayor Leshinski Water New Business: Budget: The board discussed the 2023 fiscal year water budget and reviewed the template provided by the fiscal officer. Tom Pellittieri moved to accept the 2023 water budget as discussed and recorded by the clerk. Mark Leshinski seconded. The motion passed with all in favor. The board discussed the 2023 fiscal year storm water budget and reviewed the template provided by the fiscal officer. Mark Leshinski moved to accept the 2023 storm water budget as discussed and recorded by the clerk. Tom Pellittieri seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Tom Pellittieri moved to amend the 2023 water budget by moving the funds of $2500 allocated for a grant writer to the category “other-other”, rather than “contractual services”. Mark Leshinski seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Chlorinator/Operator: Zoltan Zoltai discussed the situation regarding the water operator, Greg Kushner. He stated that threats were made verbally of things the operator would not do for the Village if there was not compensation for April 2022. Mayor Leshinski also stated that Greg Kushner approached him trying to supersede the board’s decision. Mayor referred him to the board. The board stated for the record that they do not approve the estimate that Greg Kushner presented to them from Data Command. Tom Pellittieri moved to compensate Greg Kushner $500.00 for the month of April 2022. Mark Leshinski seconded. The motion passed unanimously. The clerk presented the board with the NOPEC Grant application form. Mark Leshinski moved to adjourn the meeting. Tom Pellittieri seconded. The roll was called with all in favor. 1|Page
