Village of South Blooming Grove Public hearing – tax levy Monday NOVEMBER 14, 2022 8:02pm  Call to order Mayor Kalaj called to order the Village Board Public Hearing regarding exceeding the tax levy for 2023, at 8:04 pm on November 14, 2022, for the Village of South Blooming Grove located at 811 State Route 208, within the Village of South Blooming Grove, and having a mailing address of Monroe, New York.  Roll call The following persons were present: o George Kalaj – Mayor o Abraham Weiss – Deputy Mayor o Yitzchok Feldman- Trustee o Zalmon Rosner – Trustee o Joel Stern – Confidential Assistant to the Mayor o Isaac Ekstein- Legislative Aide to Mayor o Al Fusco, Village Engineer o Scott Ugell Esq.- Village Attorney o Kerry Dougherty – Village Clerk o Timothy Doyle – Village Accountant o Absent – Asher Guttman  Presentation o In the event that the village 2023 goes above the 2% tax cap a public hearing is required.  Public Comment o Sue Anne Vogelsberg – Is this going to put us in a bad way, going above the tax cap? o Mr. Ekstein explained that the village does not plan to go about the tax cap, but in the event we go above a public hearing is required by law. We do it as a precaution every year.  Adjournment o Motion to close the public hearing at 8:06 pm. by Mayor Kalaj, seconded by Trustee Feldman. 4 Ayes, Mayor Kalaj, Deputy Mayor Weiss, Trustee Rosner, and Trustee Feldman. 1 Absent Trustee Guttman.
