SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL 6 JUNE 2025 The South Burlington City Council held a special meeting on Friday, 6 June 2025, at 3:00 p.m., in Room 301, 180 Market Street, and by Zoom. MEMBERS PRESENT: T. Barritt, Chair; E. Fitzgerald, L. Smith, A. Chalnick, M. Scanlan ALSO PRESENT: J. Baker, City Manager; Chief S. Locke, Deputy City Manager; D. Leban, J. Moscatelli, I. Cates, L. Yankowski, M. Reid, D. Eddy, T. Lenski, E. Wells 1. Pledge of Allegiance: The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. 2. Instructions on exiting building in case of emergency and review of technology option: Ms. Baker provided instructions on emergency exit from the building and reviewed technology options. 3. Additions, deletions or changes in the order of Agenda items: No changes were made to the Agenda. 4. Comments and questions from the public not related to the agenda: There were no comments or questions from the public. 5. Conduct Interview for City appointed Boards and Committees:The Council interviewed the following applicants for City appointed Boards and Committees: PAGE 1  a. Elizabeth Wells – Library Board of Trustees; alternate choice Recreation and Parks b. Theodore Lenski – Development Review Board c. John Moscatelli – Development Review Board (incumbent); alternate choice Planning Commission d. Derek Eddy – Housing Committee; alternate choice Recreation and Parks e. Marty Reid – Library Board of Trustees f. Lisa Yankowski – Natural Resources and Conservation Committee (incumbent) g. Donna Leban – Planning Commission (incumbent); also would remain on Bike/Ped Committee h. Isaac Cates – Public Arts Committee Mr. Barritt informed applicants that the Council will announce its decisions at the 16 June City Council meeting. All applicants will be notified of the Council’s appointments. 6. Other Business: No other business was brought forth. 7. Enter into executive session, pursuant to 1 V.S.A. Section 313(a)(3), for the purpose of discussing appointments to all Committees: Mr. Chalnick moved that the Council meet in executive session, pursuant to 1 V.S.A. Section 313(a)(3) to discuss appointments to all Committees. Mr. Scanlan seconded. The motion passed unanimously. The Council entered executive session at 4:38 p.m. Following the executive session, as there was no further business to come before the Council Mr. Smith moved to adjourn. Ms. Fitzgerald seconded.
